Wisconsin artist has busy visit ahead

Leif Larson, an artist from Oshkosh, Wis., will be in Jacksonville March 17-19 as the special guest of the Imagine Foundation, and will be taking part in four art events.

1)  Mr. Larson will be at the Imagine Foundation’s Members’ Event 7-9 p.m. tonight. The evening will feature St. Patrick’s Day food and an artist’s talk by Mr. Larson. This event is free to members, and the public is welcome to join that night.

2)  Imagine will host school visits to the Asa Talcott House during his visit. Teachers interested in bringing their students to the Asa Talcott House between March 17 and 19 for a visit and art exercise should call 473-2726 for more information.

3)  Mr. Larson will offer a workshop for adults 7-10 p.m. Wednesday at the Asa Talcott House, 859 Grove St. The class will focus on colored pencil drawing. The cost is $25 per person with supplies included.

4)  Mr. Larson will be the guest artist at the March Art and Dine at Lonzerotti’s Italia Restaurant on Thursday, March 19. Tickets are $30 per person and include wine and dinner. Call Lonzerotti’s at 243-7151 to make a reservation.
